Journalism should never be censored. However, it should be held to the highest standards of truth. In this corrupted age of media, truth has been on a back burner for the sake of ratings, clicks and profit margins. And we the people will pay a heavy price for our preference of exciting headlines and dramatic news. What I don’t understand is why do we need drama and excitement from our news when we can get drama and excitement from endless variety of other entertainment that are available via various sources.
That said, the term “news”, and all its synonyms and other descriptions, must be held to the highest legal requirements for provision of truth.
First of all, let me just say that Surface Book got many things right. Weird thing was that I wasn’t very satisfied with it and thought that the list that I want Microsoft to tackle for the 2nd version would be fairly long. But as I sat down and thought through this wish list, I came to appreciate how much they got it right in their first attempt.
So, let’s start with the elephant in the room: the hinge. Love the concept. But that gap has got to go.
Windows laptop makers have a bezel problem or should I say, you have an aspect ratio problem. Let’s break the bezel problem down a little. First is the bezel-less design that Dell and Lenovo are going for and second is the relationship between trackpad, aspect ratio of the screen and the body of the laptop.
Starting with the bezel-less design, the change is location of the webcam to the bottom bezel is a really bad idea. It really should go back to the top. There are a few problems with being at the bottom. The angle of the camera view is quite displeasing and not professional looking with conducting online meetings.
